The Puppy Dog ABC Canvas is on my wish list. I'm really dying to stitch it! I designed it for our nursery. While I haven't gotten it done yet, I'm sharing my stitch plan for it on the blog today to help anyone out who already has the canvas.

Border:
The border is certainly going to be a fun area to stitch. I love squares on needlepoint canvas. There are so many fun things you can do! I would stitch the gingham pattern in Alternating Scotch Stitches. I would use predominantly Pepper Pot Silk, and pick one color to be done in a sparkle like Silk Lamé Braid!
Background:
There is quite a lot of background to stitch on here, but also quite a lot of compensation that you will have to do. I am planning on using Double Nobuko Stitch for my background on this pillow! It is relatively easy to compensate and will look amazing.
Puppy Dogs:
This is where I think I'd go simple! There is a fair amount of shading on some of these dogs, so I am planning on doing the dogs in Basketweave Stitch. If you want to try decorative stitches out, you can try Encroaching Gobelin or Brick Stitch out too!
