I love using needlepoint as a way of commemorating life's biggest moments. I have pieces from our engagement, our wedding, special places that we've lived and now that I have my own needlepoint canvas line, I've designed several new baby and children's canvases.

For James' first Christmas, I spent so many hours in our nursery between naps, feeding, changes and all things new baby, I decided I wanted to set up a little Christmas tree just for him. I've always used these little white Christmas trees from Target to display ornaments at trade shows. It was the perfect size to pop on his dresser. I added his baby buggy ornament, his stork ornament, our elephant and balloons ornament and his blue rocking horse ornament. It was just perfect.
Last but not least I tucked his monthly milestone blocks from Beaufort Bonnet underneath. They looked just like presents and were the perfect blue to complement!
The tree was so beloved that it has become a staple in his room. I brought it overseas with us and it adds a little touch of home to our rental in Ireland.
So, this is your sign! Leave your needlepoint ornaments out all year long! It's too precious to be tucked away every month except December!
